The White Out Cancer Gala has been a staple event in Northwest Louisiana for many years. Starting as the Northwest Louisiana Cattle Barron’s Ball and transforming into the event that we now know as the White Out Cancer Gala.
Each year, the American Cancer Society recognizes the talents and achievements of professionals in the NWLA area who have distinguished themselves in our community. The honorees will be announced at our VIP Event in May and presented at the White Out Cancer Experience on August 14.
At the American Cancer Society, we're on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until we do, we'll be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so you can live longer — and better. In addition to the life-saving research, the Society provides support and services to patients and families.
Honorees are nominated by the community and the taken through a selection process from there. We are passionate about highlighting stories of those who are standing out in the fight against cancer.

For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
