Join us at the American Cancer Society 2020 White Out Cancer A United Night of Hope on August 15, 2020. This fun
event has become the signature celebration for the American Cancer
Society in the NWLA area. Though so many things are changing in the world today, the need to fight cancer has not stopped, nor has the need to share stories of hope in communities like Northwest Louisiana. And just as many businesses, organizations and individuals have adapted to new norms and embraced unique opportunities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Cancer Society is focused on carrying out initiatives with the safety of our supporters top of mind. With the guidance of our Executive Leadership Council volunteers and supporters, we have made the decision to move our traditional, in-person event (White Out Cancer Gala) to a space that honors social distancing measures, yet still unites the community through the fight to end cancer. Included you’ll find details around opportunities for the community to engage in the August 15 celebration, as well as opportunities to partner as sponsors with the American Cancer Society in 2020.
The American Cancer Society is working to finish the fight against every cancer in every community. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now, that is a reason to celebrate, so please join us and help us continue to White Out Cancer.
We hope to see you there!

For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
